Welcome
Supported entirely
by voluntary donations!
Welcome to the official web site of the
Ambulance Services Benevolent Fund (Incorporating AMCARE UK). We
would encourage you to make time to visit all the site pages before
logging off, thank you.
“Ambulance
personnel, like all health care workers, dedicate their lives to
helping others in need but sadly sometimes fall into difficulties
or are injured themselves whilst doing so. The Ambulance Services
Benevolent Fund seeks to provide a comprehensive support network
for them in a whole variety of ways.
The
Trustees give a great deal of their time and effort to fulfil these
objectives but are often frustrated because of lack of funds to
enabled them to help staff as comprehensively as they would like
to. We would ask you to consider making a donation to this essential
welfare work as we receive no Government or Lottery grants, but
rely on voluntary donations from public spirited people like you.
We
feel we still work within the true spirit of charitable work, we
have no paid employees and our only overheads are minimal legitimate
administration costs. Pennies put into a money box soon make pounds!
Even if you only donate a few pennies, we will acknowledge your
kindness and you can rest assured it will contribute towards helping
someone in genuine need who will truly value your kindness and generosity.
Your
donations and commitment are extremely important to us, so please
accept my thanks on behalf of the Trustees for your ongoing and
valued support. As a direct result of any Gift Aid declaration,
we will be able to offer even more long term support to the people
who need it most, thank you”.

National Secretary
Please make all cheques payable to the ‘Ambulance
Services Benevolent Fund’ and forward to the National Secretary,
thank you.
The Ambulance Services Benevolent Fund is a registered
charity, established in 1986 to help ambulance personnel and their
dependants from all over the United Kingdom, Ireland, Channel Islands
and the Isle of Man in times of genuine hardship. The Trustees are
all volunteers. They are not paid and they work for the ASBF in
their own limited spare time. Our philosophy is to help people help
themselves where ever possible so we will involve you in any decisions
that involve outside agencies.
The assistance given to both serving and retired ambulance
personnel continues to grow year on year and the Fund has now become
firmly established within the field of ambulance staff welfare.
The Fund continues to assist members and families in a whole variety
of distressing circumstances, many arising from the stressful and
demanding incidents they are called to deal with on a daily basis.
It is quite clear, that there is still a need for such Charitable
work within the 21st Century, but such work also requires finance
to effectively operate, therefore we would encourage you, following
this website visit, to support and encourage others to support our
Charity, to allow us to help ambulance staff both now and in the
future in a more substantial manner.
Improving working and
retired ambulance colleagues lives since 1986!
Help us to continue growing to meet the growing needs being placed
upon us.
