Fund Raising
We couldn’t go
on without the help of people like you
For the ASBF to expand there is the need
for continual fund raising and we would encourage you to make a
donation, hold a fund raising event or join our ‘Give As You
Earn’ scheme to support this vital work. Many grateful claimants
tell us that they never thought it would ever happen to them which
highlight’s the importance of giving today, it might be you
needing our help tomorrow!
There is a direct link between what we
receive financially and what we can pay out.

Thinking of Including the
Ambulance Services Benevolent Fund in Your Will?
Q: How many people actually leave a gift to Charity in
their Will?
A: The percentage of Wills which include at least one gift to Charity
has increased from 10% in 2002 to over 15% in 2005.
Q: How do I make a gift to the ‘Ambulance Services
Benevolent Fund’ in my Will?
A: The most important information is to include the amount you wish
to donate, the Charities name and address and Registered Charity
number.
It is suggested you use a statement on the following lines:-
‘I give XX per cent of the residue of my estate (or the
sum of £........) to the ‘Ambulance Services Benevolent
Fund’ c/o Cherith, 150 Willingdon Road, Eastbourne, East Sussex,
BN21 1TS, Registered Charity Number: 800434, to be used for its
general charitable purposes and I declare that the receipt of the
Charity or duly authorised officer shall be sufficient discharge
to my executors’
Always seek advice from a Solicitor when writing or updating
your Will.
Remember that
a legacy to ASBF is both tax efficient and a lasting way of making
an impact long after you have gone.
